BBC Sussex Surrey & Isle of Wight

When the BBC required an upgrade to their facilities at Rowridge Transmitting Station on, the Isle of Wight, Stoneham Construction Ltd successfully tendered against a number of larger contractors to win this most prestigious project, which included internal alterations to the lay out, external works including new bases for large antennae and landscaping works in an environmentally sensitive down land site. Following successful and timely completion of this project, we successfully tendered for further works at other BBC and Crown Castle sites at Heathfield in Surrey, Midhurst in West Sussex and at their studios in Southampton, where we carried out internal alterations to radio studios, heavily reinforced a section of roof to receive a large new transmitting tower, and rebuilt the entrance steps, all without any interference to daily broadcasting output.
